Carnival did a great job selecting these incredible “cast” members. Always in a good mood and had a big smile on his face every time we saw him. Ryan worked what seemed all the time and his attitude was impeccable. staff 10/10 Absolutely fantastic! I loved our housekeeper Ryan who consistently worked tirelessly to ensure all of our rooms were clean EVERY SINGLE DAY. I also want to add that the adult only, Serenity Retreat, was ALWAYS slammed… Most likely because of the same reason that we were feeling. It’s dissapointing that with the few times we were in the tub, it was annoying to have young kids kill our “relaxation time”. I would have the pool lifeguards monitor this a little more heavily. Too much splashing and yelling that felt like we were in the pool. Unfortunately, the young kids ranging from 6-12 years old, really ruined the peaceful experience in the tub. I think it comes down to our preference but when this issue is fixed I would happy to go back again.…Ĭarnival Panorama -pools/hottubs 7/10 We never went into any pool as it was too cold but we did sit in the hottub a couple times. Overall If we did not have an Aft Havana Cabin the soot issue wouldn't have been an issue as the rest of ship is well set up for couples or families. A great place to be away from the crowds sit in hot tubs or an infinity pool. Entertainment - comedians - 1st rate attended 4 shows Bar Staff - super attentive, remembered not just our names but fav drinks Dining - casual offering were average but the staff exceptional Casino - smoky, poor drink service, and felt closed in compared to other ships Housekeeping- Amazing " Ahmad" did a fantastic job Main Pool - never used it other than to watch Superbowl on Big Screen Havana Area - Fantastic but always sit on a towel, wear flip-flops, day beds are so comfortable and the staff amazing. If you didnt stay in the exclusive Havana area then this is not issue for you but when you pay extra $$$ to have this perk to have your clothes and feet stained with this black material is huge disappointment. Staff tried their best but it returned every day. Nonetheless our deck, and furniture was coated in it every day, you had to wear shoes and always sit on a towel. Another passenger informed us that this is a known defect and in 2024 it is going to be fixed. We 1st thought it was cigarette ash and after speaking to a crew member informed us that this was a non-smoking area and it was from the engines. What we found immediately after sitting down on a daybed in the Havana area was that the engines have a flaw that sends black soot over the Aft balconies and Havana area when the engines startup.
These rooms are larger with a larger balcony complete with 2 chairs, a table, and a lounger overlooking the beautiful Havana deck area. As we had just retired as a celebration and thank you to ourselves we booked a Havana Aft Cabin. We were so excited to have our 1st cruise since the pandemic and wanted to treat ourselves on the Carnival Panorama Ship. We're just returned from Hawaii vacation following our Feb 11-18, 2023 cruise out of Long Beach. I’d recommend this trip for everyone especially families and groups of friends.… Also the Deal or No Deal game show was annoying in that collecting the “prize” of casino credit involved taking to a minimum of 3 people, even though the credit was supposed to be automatically applied to your Casino account. For example, players could change their bets and even openly plan strategies with associates at the same table to defeat others. I’d avoid the $250 cost of the Blackjack tournament unless you become very familiar with the rules which differ from any other tournament. And a bit further away is a Walmart if you forgot anything. There’s also a very nice upscale shopping mall right across from the ship. Note you can also walk to the beach and also see the Cliff divers after finishing the Blue Line portion of the walk.

The free self guided Blue Line tour in Mazalan is good if you want to see the historical old City Center. We also loved the Vallarta Adventures snorkeling tour, although the snorkeling was so so as the water was not clear when we were there in April. Mike the brewmaster led beer tastings that were informative and worth the $40 cost. For older kids, teens and adventurous adults, the sky cycles, water slides and ropes course are a blast. Don’t miss Guys Burgers and Blue Iguana if you like Mexican food.
